Bluebird Nest Box 4, Murrysville Live Cam

Bluebird Nest Box 4 in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, looks down at the whole floor of a nest box, with a flat twig nest and a round entrance hole. The hole is cut into the wall at the left, and a strip of bare floor separates it from the nest.

The box is set out for bluebirds in a field on private land in Murrysville, Westmoreland County, east of Pittsburgh. A bluebird nest with eggs was reported in this box in an earlier season. Since the field is private, the exact box location is not given, and the map shows the town of Murrysville.

Here the camera sits high enough to take in the full width of the box. Straight twigs and thin sticks are packed into a dense rectangular mat that reaches the right wall, with a few loose sticks pointing toward the hole. Smooth inner walls frame the scene on every side.
