Weather and time
A rooftop camera in downtown Cumberland, Maryland, overlooks brick streets, a wall mural and the rail crossing by the station. Its lens swings between streets, hills and tracks.
Cumberland, the seat of Allegany County, grew up where the National Road, the C&O Canal and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad met; the railroad arrived in 1842. Western Maryland Scenic Railroad excursions leave the old station for Frostburg, and CSX freight and Amtrak's Capitol Limited use the main line.
Its positions include a tree-lined street between red brick buildings with the mural and a traffic light, rooftops under wooded hills, a street crossing the tracks, and a station building with a train beside a stone-walled river channel. Close views of a street lamp and a small garden also appear.
