Port of Lisbon, Lisboa Live Cam

This HD webcam gives a panoramic view of the Tagus River (Rio Tejo) from the Port of Lisbon (Porto de Lisboa), in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The camera is mounted on the Maritime Traffic Control Tower in Algés, the Torre VTS de Lisboa, and looks over the areas around and across the river, including sunset views and close-ups of the 25th of April Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril), the Belém Tower (Torre de Belém), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Sanctuary of Christ the King (Santuário de Cristo Rei) in the city of Almada.

The Port of Lisbon is Portugal's third-largest port, set on the Tagus estuary, a natural harbour near the city centre that extends west to the Atlantic Ocean through a short strait. The port has 15 terminals handling all types of cargo and one for cruise passengers, operating 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Its jurisdiction covers the municipalities of Alcochete, Almada, Barreiro, Benavente, Lisbon, Loures, Moita, Montijo, Oeiras, Seixal, and Vila Franca de Xira, on both sides of the Tagus estuary, the largest estuary in Western Europe, with a 32,000-hectare basin.
