Praia de São Torpes, Sines, Portugal Live Cam

Tankers wait offshore beyond the sand at Praia de São Torpes, a few kilometres south of the port of Sines in Portugal. The beach runs south in a single unbroken curve.

Sines is a deepwater port with container, oil and gas terminals, and the vessels on the horizon are queuing for it. The beach itself belongs to the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast natural park, which protects more than a hundred kilometres of cliffs and dunes.

Atlantic swell reaches this shore almost every day of the year, which is why surf schools work the middle section. The webcam pans between a wide view and close-ups of the waterline.
