Nijmegen Station, West Side Works Live Cam

This elevated view overlooks the platforms and tracks of Nijmegen station and the large construction site beside them. Tower cranes and a concrete building frame rise on the western side of the rail corridor.

Nijmegen is a city in the province of Gelderland, on the river Waal. The station is being rebuilt as part of a multi-year project that adds a second island platform, a longer passenger tunnel and a new entrance on the west side. Trains keep calling under the arched canopies in the foreground while crews work beside the tracks.

The view is not fixed. The usual wide shot looks south-west along the platforms toward the sidings, and at other times it turns north along the tracks toward the Waal and an arched river bridge, or zooms in on the western edge of the site. After dark, floodlights pick out the work areas.
