Amersfoort Railcam, Netherlands Live Cam

The tracks beside Amersfoort Centraal station run below this view from a road bridge, in the Dutch province of Utrecht. A Sprinter unit passes below the lens, and motorway signs for Amsterdam, Utrecht and Zwolle stand in the frame.

Amersfoort is where four main lines meet, so intercity and local services cross here continuously and the layout below the camera carries all of them. The station was rebuilt in the 1990s, and the road bridge the camera looks from crosses the throat of it.

Dutch timetabling is clock-face, so trains come in bursts a few minutes apart and then the tracks stand empty. The stream carries background music rather than track sound.
