Eastern Platforms and Tracks, Amsterdam Centraal Live Cam

Platforms and a wide, curving fan of tracks run east from Amsterdam Centraal, close to the IJ waterfront. The camera looks east from a high vantage point, with a hotel tower and the Bimhuis building on the left.

Amsterdam Centraal is the main railway station of the city and one of the busiest in the country. East of the platforms the lines cross the water on a group of railway bridges that are being renewed one by one. Modern office buildings with a covered walkway line the tracks on the right, and a busy road runs along the water on the left.

Compared with the bridge camera that looks west, this view follows the trains away from the station. Passenger trains stop at the platforms in the foreground, while a bridge deck with construction machinery and flat wagons stretches along the left side of the frame.
