Glendale Sharon Road, Ohio Live Cam

A double-track CSX main line crosses East Sharon Road in the centre of Glendale, Ohio, beneath tall silver signal gantries. Cars use the planked crossing while the rails disappear into the trees to the north.

This is the former Baltimore & Ohio route built by the Cincinnati, Hamilton & Dayton Railroad in 1850 and 1851, now CSX's Cincinnati Terminal Subdivision between Cincinnati and Hamilton. The village's 1880 depot stands just south of the crossing and now houses a heritage museum. Amtrak's Cardinal also uses the line three times a week.

The camera looks north from the corner by the road, with the crossing signals and gates close to the lens and a 'two tracks' warning sign on the nearest gantry. Beyond them are a utility shed, a gabled shop building and dense trees; a brick sidewalk runs along the left edge.
