West Central Avenue, Springboro Live Cam

The camera watches West Central Avenue, part of State Route 73, at a signalized shopping-plaza entrance west of downtown Springboro, Ohio. Several lanes of traffic stretch away to the left, while a side road on the right leads to parking lots and low buildings.

Central Avenue carries State Route 73 across Springboro, a city of about 19,000 people between Dayton and Cincinnati. About 600 metres east of here it meets Main Street at the edge of the Springboro Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. This western stretch is lined with shopping plazas and restaurants.

The camera faces south-east, so on autumn mornings it looks into the low sun. Unlike the Main Street views, it shows a wide arterial road with turn lanes, a crosswalk in the foreground and cars turning in and out of the side road.
