Platform Works at Sector Q, Amsterdam Centraal Live Cam

This fixed camera watches the edge of a platform at Amsterdam Centraal, close to the sector Q sign and a departure board. A string of yellow work wagons loaded with paving stones stands on the track beside the concrete deck.

Amsterdam Centraal is one of the busiest stations in the Netherlands, and it is being rebuilt for a growing number of passengers. Besides longer and wider platforms, the works include a wider eastern passenger tunnel with shops and a large new bicycle park.

The view runs toward sector R along a curving platform edge with pale slabs, stacked pallets and mesh fences. Here the platform reaches the edge of the station roof, so beyond the wagons the view opens to the sky, overhead-wire masts, a blue container and a low grey building with a curved glass front.
