Eastern Railway Bridges, Amsterdam Centraal Live Cam

A group of railway bridges carries a wide fan of tracks over the water just east of Amsterdam Centraal. The camera looks west toward the arched station roof and the old town.

Five railway bridges stand side by side east of the station; they have reached the end of their service life and are being replaced one at a time, starting on the IJ side. In the foreground a light-green steel girder bridge rests on concrete piers above the canal, while older lattice spans are visible further left. Beyond the tracks rise the brick station buildings and the twin towers of the Basilica of Saint Nicholas.

This view concentrates on the bridge work itself. Flat wagons loaded with concrete elements and a green rail crane stand beside the bridge deck, and passenger trains pass along the nearest tracks. A road and quay run along the water at the lower right.
