Weather and time

This camera looks steeply down from Taki no Hashi onto the Maruko River in Noge, Setagaya, where the channel bends below a white wall. A tall gauge staff stands against the wall beside a red sign board, with the dark water along the bottom of the frame.

The area is a green, hilly part of Setagaya near the Tama River. Noge Rokusho Shrine is about 350 m to the north-west and Tamazutsumi Elementary School roughly 250 m to the south-east. Todoroki Valley Park lies around 500 m to the north. The Maruko River is what remains of an old irrigation canal that carried water from the Tama River across Setagaya.

Two white metal poles run down the left side of the frame, and ivy and shrubs spill over a stepped concrete block above the channel. A curved concrete lip marks the edge of the channel and shows where the water sits in relation to the wall.
