Weather and time
This camera watches the Meguro River at Ichiba Bridge in Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa, upstream of the Ebara Flood Control Basin. A tall block-masonry wall with a red water-level gauge fills most of the frame.
The underground Ebara Flood Control Basin lies beneath Nishi-Gotanda 3-chome, and its intake facility is named after Ichiba Bridge. Kamenoko Green Space is about 60 m from the camera, and Fudomae Station on the Tokyu Meguro Line about 400 m. The Meguro River rises in Ikejiri, Setagaya, and runs about 8 km to Tokyo Bay.
The ornamental railing and name plate of Ichiba Bridge cut across the upper left, and ivy hangs down the wall at the right. Above the wall a white railing separates the river from a roadside strip of greenery. Only a narrow band of dark water shows at the foot of the wall.
