Tokyo Skyline from Nishiazabu Live Cam

This wide-angle camera in Nishiazabu, Tokyo, looks over the trees of Aoyama Cemetery toward the high-rise skyline of Shinjuku on the horizon. Open sky fills most of the frame, so the clouds and the light over the city take centre stage.

Nishiazabu is a residential and dining district of Minato Ward that lies between Roppongi and Aoyama. Aoyama Cemetery, which became Japan's first public cemetery in 1874, is known for its cherry blossoms. On the right rises the wave-shaped glass facade of the National Art Center, Tokyo, opened in 2007.

The helipad of the Akasaka Press Center lies in the lower right corner, and dense apartment blocks fill the left side. Far away, the spired NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building stands out among the Shinjuku towers. Unlike the Roppongi-facing view nearby, this frame shows the city as a low horizon beneath a wide sky.
