Weather and time
This camera looks down on the Shibuya River in Ebisu, where a deep concrete channel runs beneath a road bridge. A tall wall faced with small stones, a ladder and a water-level gauge fill most of the frame.
The station is in Ebisu 1-chome, a short walk from Meiji-dori and about 250 m from Ebisu Station. Ebisu Higashi Park lies a few dozen metres to the north-west, and the temple Taiun-ji stands about 150 m to the south-east. The open channel of the Shibuya River begins at Inari Bridge and runs on toward Hiroo, where beyond Tenkyuji Bridge it is called the Furukawa.
The shot is taken from above and close to the water, so the revetment dominates the view. A red plate on the wall marks the flood danger level, a blue stripe runs down the concrete abutment, and the underside of the bridge at upper right carries graffiti.
