Weather and time
This camera looks steeply down on a paved street corner at the Miyamasuzaka-shita intersection, on the east side of Shibuya Station in Tokyo. Two zebra crossings lead off the top of the frame, and bicycles stand in a row along the curb.
Miyamasuzaka climbs from the station towards Aoyama-dori, and this junction marks its foot on the busy Meiji-dori avenue. The slope follows part of the old Oyama Kaido road and was once called Fujimizaka for its views of Mount Fuji. It takes its present name from Miyamasu, a district named after Mitake Shrine partway up the hill.
Unlike wider views of the junction, this angle is almost overhead, showing mostly paving, passers-by and the groups waiting at the crossings for the lights. Cartoon character graphics are layered over the image, with the date and time in the lower right corner.
