Weather and time
This camera faces a tall wall of stone blocks on the Furukawa River at Shinohashi in Minato, central Tokyo. A slim water gauge with a red flood danger marker stands against the wall above dark, still water.
The station is in Minami-Azabu 3-chome, right next to the road bridge of the same name, beside Shirokane. The Embassy of Iran is about 100 m away, Meiji-dori Avenue about 130 m, and Honmura Elementary School a little over 300 m. Upstream at Tengenji the Shibuya River becomes the Furukawa, which flows on toward Tokyo Bay.
The view is fixed on a single wall of rough-faced blocks with a few drainage holes and white mineral streaks. A second, lighter stone wall rises above it, with moss along the top edge. No bank or sky is in view, so the picture is all wall, gauge and water.
