Hirai River at Tamanouchi Bridge, Hinode Live Cam

This camera looks at Tamanouchi Bridge over the Hirai River in Okuno, Hinode, Tokyo, with shallow riffles running beneath the span. A railed road deck crosses the whole width of the frame above the water.

Tamanouchi Bridge lies in the Okuno district of Hinode, a town in western Tokyo. Ochiai Clinic stands about 200 m away, and a monument to the Japan-US summit held in Hinode stands about 400 m away. Hirai Junior High School is also within about 400 m, and from here the Hirai River flows east through Hinode toward Akiruno.

Below the bridge the stream passes around a broad gravel bar, with a concrete-faced bank and a grassy slope on the left and a steep stone-block revetment on the right. A second guardrail and a grassy field with houses in the distance can be seen beyond the bridge.
