Hirai River at Higashi-Hirai Bridge, Hinode Live Cam

This camera looks along the Hirai River at Higashi-Hirai Bridge in Hirai, Hinode, Tokyo, over a quiet stream with shrubby banks. A low weir with a patch of white water closes the view at the far end of the channel.

Hirai is a district of Hinode, a town in Nishitama District in western Tokyo. A temple stands about 200 m to the south and a welfare centre about 200 m to the west, and the Okutama Akiruno Line passes about 400 m to the south. The Hirai River rises on Mount Hinode and joins the Tama River in Akiruno.

The stream runs away from the camera between a steep bank of shrubs and tall trees on the far side and a grassy strip with a low concrete kerb on the near side. A white guardrail marks the road at the right edge.
