This camera watches the Akigawa River near Higashi-Akigawa Bridge in Hachioji, with grassy banks stretching across the foreground. A pool of river water shows at the left, and a curving embankment runs off to the right.

The camera is in Takatsuki, near the western edge of Hachioji, where the Akigawa flows east out of the hills toward the Tama River. Higashi-Akigawa Bridge is about 400 m to the west, and the Tama River is less than a kilometre downstream. Takatsuki Park lies about 250 m to the south, and Tamamigasaki Park about 550 m to the northeast.

The water sits at the far left of the frame, while the grassy embankment sweeps to the right past farm fields and tree-covered hills close the horizon. A few low buildings show at the edges of the floodplain, so the picture takes in both the river and the open valley.
