Weather and time
This camera looks along the Zanbori River at Shimosuna Bridge in Tachikawa, Tokyo, from a railed footpath on the left bank. The wide channel below is lined with sloping stone walls and floored with grass and tall reeds.
The station stands in Kamisuna-cho, in the northern part of Tachikawa, and Musashi-Sunagawa Station on the Seibu Haijima Line is about 550 m away. The Zanbori rises at Sayama Pond in Mizuho and ends in the Tama River at Shibasaki-cho, but it often runs low or dry between rains.
A small bridge crosses the channel at the far left, while a paved path with railings runs along the high wall on the right, beside a row of trees with reddish autumn leaves. In the daytime frames no running water is visible, only the grassy bed, unlike the shallow stream at the other Zanbori stations.
