Weather and time
This camera looks into a narrow concrete channel of the Narahashi River just downstream of Nichigetsu Bridge in Higashiyamato, Tokyo. A tall concrete wall with a water-level gauge fills most of the frame, and a stone-paved bed lies below it.
The station is in Narahashi 3-chome, in the north of Higashiyamato. Higashiyamato No. 1 Junior High School is about 170 m away, Narahashi Children's Center about 220 m and Futatsuike Park roughly 350 m. The Narahashi River is a short tributary of the Karabori River.
The gauge on the wall is an orange-and-green scale with a red plate marking the flood-danger level, so the water can be read against the wall at a glance. A pale pipe runs down the right side of the wall, and wire mesh covers the foot of the channel. A thin trickle of water crosses the mossy stones, and green panels of a fence stand above the wall.
