Weather and time
This camera watches the Zanbori River at Yamanakasakashita in Fujimi-cho, Tachikawa, Tokyo, where a shallow stream bends under a road bridge. Grassy banks and clumps of pampas grass flank the water on both sides.
The station lies close to the lower end of the river, in the southern part of Tachikawa. Tachikawa No. 1 Junior High School is about 500 m away, and Nishi-Tachikawa Station is a little over a kilometre to the north. The Zanbori ends its course in the Tama River at Shibasaki-cho, not far downstream.
The view is taken from a railing on the right bank. The left bank is a tall concrete wall with a diamond-patterned face and a ladder set into it, and a rust-red road bridge with a blue-white railing spans the channel at the top right. Unlike the dry upstream stations, the water here reflects the sky in daytime frames.
