Weather and time
This camera looks across the Zanbori River at Tachikawa Bridge in Shibasakicho, Tachikawa, Tokyo, toward a slope of patterned concrete blocks. A road bridge with a blue girder crosses at the upper left, and a pale staff gauge runs diagonally down the slope.
The station stands in Shibasakicho 5-chome, in the south of Tachikawa. Tachikawa Park is about 70 m away, Shibanishi Park about 100 m, and Tachihi Bridge over the Tama River some 400 m. The Zanbori River flows into the Tama River at Shibasakicho.
The blocks of the slope are laid in a herringbone pattern, with a low wall and a hedge along the top. In the right foreground, a grassy bank separates a small pool from the main channel, and a second stepped bank rises behind it. The shallow stream hugs the foot of the wall.
