Yudono River at Sakae Bridge, Hachioji Live Cam

This camera overlooks the Yudono River at Sakae Bridge in Naganuma, a district of Hachioji, with low hills on the horizon. A road with a white railing runs along the embankment on the left above the weedy slopes.

Sakae Bridge stands in Naganuma-cho, the town where the Yudono River ends its run and joins the Asakawa. Naganuma Station on the Keio Line is about 250 m to the south-east, and Naganuma Elementary School is just beyond it. The neighbourhood around the station is made up of low houses, small shops and apartment blocks.

The view is taken from the near bank, so tall grasses and reeds crowd the right foreground while the water ripples over a shallow step at the bottom of the frame. Two stepped concrete banks with a narrow grassy berm between them lead the eye toward the bridge on the left.
