Weather and time
This camera at Hyoei Bridge in Katakura, Hachioji, Tokyo, looks across the Hyoe River at a long concrete slope with a diamond-shaped pattern. Above it, a grassy strip and a clipped hedge run along the top of the bank.
The station stands in Katakura-cho, in the southern part of Hachioji. Katakura Station on the JR Yokohama Line is about 200 m away, and the Route 16 ring road crosses close by on a bridge. Katakura Castle Ruins Park lies some 300 m off, with Fujitanito Park and Yui Daini Elementary School at a similar distance.
A white gauge post and a metal ladder are fixed to the pale slope, while tall grass, shrubs and a blue metal railing fill the foreground. The water runs in a narrow channel at the foot of the wall and is mostly hidden behind the vegetation. Beyond the hedge, a road and buildings can be seen.
