Weather and time
This camera watches the Kawaguchi River at Shimizu Bridge in Hachioji, Tokyo, from a paved path running beside the stream. A shallow stream flows over stones between a white guardrail and a bank of concrete blocks.
The station is in Nakano-sanno 3-chome, in the southern part of Hachioji. Shimizu Elementary School stands about 100 m away, and the Chuo Expressway passes a few hundred metres away. The Kawaguchi River is a tributary of the Asakawa River, and parts of its channel have been rebuilt with embankments.
The view is fixed and looks down the path toward the bend of the stream. Shrubs and tall grass cover the far bank, the white railing of a road deck runs across the top of the frame, and a bridge pillar stands at the upper right. The stony stream bed and the concrete-block bank make the water level easy to read.
