Weather and time
This camera looks straight at a tall stone-block wall rising from the Yamada River at Takeya Bridge in Koyasu-cho, Hachioji. Moss streaks the masonry, and a metal railing runs along the top above the dark water.
Takeya Bridge lies in the Koyasu-cho district, a short walk from the centre of Hachioji. Koyasu Park is about 100 m away, and Hachioji Station, where the JR Chuo Line meets the Hachiko Line, is roughly 450 m from the river. The Yamada River is a tributary of the Asakawa, which in turn joins the Tama River.
The camera is mounted close to the wall and aimed steeply down, so the frame is filled by the stone courses and only a strip of water shows at the bottom. This close, flat view differs from the wider channel shots of other river stations.
