Minami-Asakawa River at Asakawa Office, Hachioji Live Cam

This camera overlooks the Minami-Asakawa River beside the Asakawa Office in Hachioji, Tokyo, where the channel is lined with concrete. A paved apron of square blocks leads to a small weir on the right, with a fenced footpath on the left bank and a guardrailed road on the right.

The Hachioji city branch office and the Asakawa Civic Center stand within about 30 m of the camera. Takao Station is about 500 m to the south-east, and the Tama Forest Science Garden about 300 m to the north-east. The Kamikunugida Bridge station is about 700 m to the south-west.

Unlike the natural, grassy stream at Kamikunugida Bridge, the bed here is paved and the water drops over the weir. A white utility box stands by the road, and a steep hillside of ivy and shrubs rises behind the guardrail.
