Weather and time
This camera looks over the Hirai River at Shikanoyu Bridge in Hirai, Hinode, Tokyo, where the stream widens into a calm, dark pool. A grassy bar fills the middle of the frame, with a concrete retaining wall and a road behind it.
The station stands in Hirai, in the town of Hinode in western Tokyo. Hokoji Temple lies about 200 m to the north, Hirai Post Office about 200 m to the east, and Hirai Bridge crosses the river some 150 m to the northeast. The Okutama Akiruno Line, a main road of the area, passes close by. The river flows east from Mount Hinode to the Tama River.
A second bridge with a white railing closes the view at the upper right, and a maroon bridge rail runs down the left edge. Shrubs and a large tree frame the near banks, so only the pool and the bar are open to the camera.
