The widest of the Western Wall feeds: it takes in the entire plaza, both prayer sections and the crowd moving between them. An Israeli flag on a tall pole marks the divider running out from the stone.

Roofed galleries close the frame on both sides, and the lower half is the open pavement where visitors arrive from the security checks. From this height individual faces are lost, but the pattern of the place is obvious: dense at the wall, thinning across the square, steady traffic through the entrances.

This is the camera to open if the question is how busy Jerusalem's best-known site is right now. The plaza fills in the late afternoon, empties around midday heat in summer, and stays lit and sparsely occupied through the night.
