Barn Owl Nest Box, Ram On Live Cam

Barn owl nest box in the moshav of Ram On in northern Israel, filmed by a camera fixed inside the box. A smaller picture in the corner shows the outside of the box, with its entrance opening and a wooden landing board.

Ram On is a moshav in the Gilboa Regional Council, in the Jezreel subdistrict of the Northern District. In the outside view the box has a white body and a corrugated roof, with dry, open ground, a dark field and distant hills beyond it. Barn owls breed in cavities and boxes like this one.

The camera looks down into the box from high on one wall, so the floor and three of its walls are in frame. A label gives the place and date, and a small weather panel shows the local temperature.
