Main Lodge, Mammoth Mountain Live Cam

A large woolly mammoth statue stands on a round stone plinth in front of the Main Lodge at the base of Mammoth Mountain, California. The camera moves between a close view of the statue and wider views of the lodge area.

Main Lodge is one of the base areas of the Mammoth Mountain ski area, on Minaret Road west of the town of Mammoth Lakes. The plinth wall carries rows of small plaques and the words Mammoth Mountain. The statue stands where the road, the parking lanes and the lodge entrances meet, so it serves as the landmark of the base area.

In the close view the statue, its tusks and the stone wall fill the frame. The wide views add a chalet-style building with a railed terrace, Alpine-style buildings with a clock tower and an entrance kiosk. Another view looks across the road to a timber-clad lodge with a chairlift terminal at its front.
