Hirotogawa River Mouth, Nichinan Live Cam

This webcam looks east from the Hirotogawa river mouth in Nichinan, Miyazaki Prefecture, across a road bridge to the Pacific Ocean. Surf rolls in beyond a rocky breakwater and a small cluster of houses on the far bank, while cars cross the bridge and a road junction fills the lower right of the frame.

The Hirotogawa runs through Nichinan and reaches the Pacific Ocean, here the Hyuga Sea, in the Umegahama district. The camera stands on the south bank, within a kilometre of Aburatsu, the port district of the city.

The view runs along the bridge, with calmer river water on the left and open sea on the right. Waves break on the rocks of the breakwater and across the river mouth, and their size changes through the day, which makes the view a quick check of surf conditions.
