Futamado Pond, Kamiamakusa Live Cam

This two-view camera in the Futamado district of Himedo, Kamiamakusa, shows a reed-lined waterway and a road curving around a pond. Both pictures sit side by side in one frame, with wooded hills rising behind each of them.

Himedo is one of the four former towns that merged in 2004 to form the city of Kamiamakusa in Kumamoto Prefecture. Several small streams run down from the hills through Futamado, and National Route 266, the Amakusa Pearl Line, passes through the district.

The camera is fixed and shows both views at once with a date and time stamp. One half follows a waterway with a fenced path along its bank, the other looks over a pond with a guardrail and overhead wires above the road. Houses are blurred with a privacy mosaic.
