Chiju and Sonobe, Kamiamakusa Live Cam

This grid combines four fixed roadside views around Chiju and Sonobe in Matsushima, on Kamijima island, Kamiamakusa. The frames show a farm road across rice fields, a river beside a road and village streets below forested hills.

Matsushima is one of the four former towns merged in 2004 to form Kamiamakusa in Kumamoto Prefecture. The Chiju views cover National Route 324 and a prefectural road near the Chiju interchange. The Sonobe view looks along the Amakusa Orange Line, an agricultural road near the Kyoragi River. The cameras belong to a municipal disaster-prevention network.

The picture places two Chiju cameras, one at Sonobe and one in the Aitsu area, side by side. Every camera holds one fixed view, so only weather and traffic change. Some houses are pixelated.
