Santa Margherita Church, Sappada Live Cam

This webcam overlooks the centre of Sappada, where the bell tower of the Church of Santa Margherita stands out against the Carnic Alps. A small square with a pedestrian crossing and parked cars lies in front of the church.

The parish church of Santa Margherita is the historic landmark of the village, and its slender tower with a clock face rises above the surrounding rooftops. Sappada is a mountain village at about 1,250 metres in the province of Udine, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Wide wooden balconies line both sides of this view.

The camera faces the church across the square, so the tower sits in the middle of the frame with a ridge of pale limestone peaks behind it. The Terza Grande, about 2,586 metres high, appears right behind the tower, and the jagged Creste di Enghe and the Clap group fill the left side of the skyline.
