Maniago City Square, Italy Live Cam

Piazza Italia opens out in the middle of Maniago, with an arcaded building along one side and a stone fountain at its centre. Cars park across the near half of the square.

The fountain dates from the mid-nineteenth century and is cut from Aviano stone: an octagonal basin, four semicircular bowls and four flights of steps set to the compass points. Palazzo d'Attimis and the cathedral of San Mauro stand around the same square.

Maniago has made knives for more than six centuries and is known in Italy for it, with a museum in a former blade works. The town sits at the foot of the Carnic foothills in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and the webcam is mounted on a shop on the square.
