Forum Square, Pula Live Cam

The Forum is the main square of Pula, and it lies below this webcam at the tip of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. The columned front of the Temple of Augustus stands at the far end, with the town hall beside it and café awnings filling the near half of the square.

The temple was built during the emperor's lifetime, between 27 BC and AD 14, and this square has been the centre of the town ever since — the Roman forum became the medieval market and then the modern one. The communal palace next to it has a core from 1295 rebuilt in several later styles.

Tables cover the paving from spring to autumn and concerts are held here in summer. The Roman amphitheatre, the other great survival in Pula, is a few minutes north.
