Hotel Villa Margaret, Porat Live Cam

Stone houses and red roofs step down to the harbour at Porat, a village on the island of Krk in Croatia. A curved breakwater shelters the small boat basin, and Malinska Bay opens out beyond it.

Krk is the largest island in the Adriatic and is joined to the mainland by a bridge, which makes it the most accessible of the Croatian islands. Porat belongs to the municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica, on the sheltered northwestern shore.

The coast here alternates between pebble coves and rock shelves, with pine woods running down to the water. The webcam looks down on the village from the hotel above it. Terraced gardens still occupy the ground between the houses, as the vegetable plots in the foreground show.
