Weather and time
A fixed camera on the Trimburg castle ruin near Trimberg looks down into a gravel courtyard beside a high stone wall. White pavilion tents stand at the far end of the yard, and a stone staircase with an iron railing climbs the wall on the left.
Trimburg stands on the Pfaffenberg about 60 metres above the Frankish Saale in Elfershausen, between Bad Kissingen and Hammelburg. Building on the hill began in 1135, and the ruin seen today is what remains of the last of three castles raised there. Since 1980 it has belonged to Elfershausen, which opens it to visitors with the association Freunde der Trimburg.
Mounted on the castle wine tavern, the camera looks along the yard towards the tents, with the outer wall and its staircase on the left. Clubs from the surrounding villages regularly hold events and serve refreshments here.
