Kissinger Hütte, Feuerberg Live Cam

The Kissinger Hütte stands on the summit of the Feuerberg in the Rhön, a timber mountain hut above a sloping meadow. A playground fills the foreground, and forested hills roll away to the horizon on the right.

The Feuerberg rises to 832 metres in the Schwarze Berge of the Bavarian Rhön, near Langenleiten. The hut was built in 1914 as the König-Ludwig-Hütte and has belonged ever since to the Bad Kissingen branch of the Rhönklub. A fire on 18 March 2025 destroyed its older main building, and a new timber main building has been raised in its place.

The view takes in the hut terrace, the meadow with benches and swing frames, and the upper station of an old ski lift at the right edge. Beyond the meadow, wooded ridges fall away towards the valleys, and on clear days the Dammersfeldkuppe, Wasserkuppe and Heidelstein rise on the horizon.
