Velká Úpa Valley, Pec pod Sněžkou Live Cam

This camera looks down the Velká Úpa valley from the Portášky mountain hut in the Krkonoše mountains. A chairlift line with light blue chairs runs down the grassy slope in front of the lens, past a snow cannon.

Velká Úpa is a mountain settlement that forms part of Pec pod Sněžkou in the Hradec Králové Region. The Portášky hut stands at the upper end of the chairlift that climbs from the village. Sněžka, the highest peak in Czechia, rises only a few kilometres away, and spruce forest covers the valley slopes.

The camera is fixed, so the lift line, the open slope and the village buildings on the right stay in place in every frame. Only the weather, the light on the ridges and the colour of the trees at the forest edge change.
