Smoky Mountains View, Sevierville Live Cam

Forested foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains roll away from a cabin in the Waldens Creek area near Sevierville, Tennessee. Wooded slopes with scattered houses fill the middle of the frame, and higher blue ridges line the horizon.

The cabin stands on a wooded ridge in Sevier County, about ten kilometres west of Pigeon Forge. Houses and cabins are spread across the surrounding hills, and several roofs show through the trees on the slopes opposite. Beyond the nearer ridges the land climbs toward Great Smoky Mountains National Park, whose peaks close the view on clear days.

The camera changes its framing during the day, at times taking in the wide panorama of distant ranges and at times moving closer to the nearest ridge. In autumn the treetops below turn yellow, orange and red, and after dark the picture switches to black and white.
