Weather and time
Hay bales, flower displays and a trail map board line the visitor lawn below the SkyBridge Michigan tower at Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls. People walk the paved paths that cross the grass toward the bridge.
SkyBridge Michigan is a suspension footbridge built on the ski area in Charlevoix County, in the northern Lower Peninsula. It is reported to be the longest timber-towered suspension bridge in the world. The span crosses the hillside close to the Ramshead run, with forested ridges rising around it.
This is a ground-level view of the tower base and the lawn rather than of the span itself. The wooden frame of the tower with its suspension cables stands on the right, and a wooden railing runs across the lower right corner. Behind the lawn a grassy hillside with lift towers rises above the trees.
