Fairlawn, Wisconsin Live Cam

From the turret of Fairlawn Mansion, this webcam takes in Superior Bay and the boats moored at Barkers Island Marina. The low green spit beyond the water is Minnesota Point, which separates the bay from Lake Superior.

Superior stands at the western end of Lake Superior, on the Wisconsin side of the border with Minnesota, and shares the harbour with Duluth. Together they form one of the largest freshwater ports in the world, handling iron ore, coal and grain.

Fairlawn is a Queen Anne mansion built in 1890 for a local mining and shipping figure, and it now works as a museum. The camera pans, so the marina, the bayfront parks and the industrial docks come into view in turn.
