Cape Henlopen Nature Center Bird Feeder Live Cam

This camera watches a tube bird feeder at the start of the Seaside Nature Trail in Cape Henlopen State Park, near Lewes in Delaware. The feeder stands on a metal pole in front of the wooden trail sign, with a dense thicket of shrubs and tangled vines behind it.

The park covers the sandy cape where Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. The trail begins beside the Seaside Nature Center, which has aquariums with local fish and exhibits on the park's coastal habitats. From there it runs as a short sandy loop through remnants of pine forest.

Small birds come close to the camera as they cling to the feeder perches and take seed. Wild turkeys sometimes cross the mown clearing behind the sign, and deer may step out of the brush.
