Playland's Castaway Cove, New Jersey Live Cam

The wooden track of the Great White coaster stands out on the sand at Wildwood, on the New Jersey shore. Trains climb the lift hill and drop towards the beach every few minutes in season.

The ride belongs to Morey's Piers and has run since 1996, built on timber over a steel lift. This webcam looks down on it from the roof of the Wildwoods Convention Center, so the whole layout fits in one frame.

The beach here is unusually wide: sand has been building against this shore for decades, and the water is now several hundred metres from the boardwalk. The island is called Five Mile Beach, and the boards along it date back to the 1890s.
