Boston Harbor Fish Pier Live Cam

The Boston Fish Pier stands on the south side of the harbour, with the main shipping channel in front of it. The webcam looks out at the water and the boats.

The pier opened in 1914 and is the oldest continuously working fish pier in the country. Trawlers still land here, though the fleet is a fraction of what it was before the groundfish stocks off New England collapsed.

The water in front used to be notorious. Boston harbour was among the dirtiest in the United States into the 1980s, and a court-ordered clean-up built a treatment plant on Deer Island that turned it into one of the cleanest urban harbours on the coast.
