Xuejian Recreation Area, Miaoli Live Cam

This camera overlooks the forecourt of the Xuejian Recreation Area in Miaoli County from a raised wooden deck with a metal railing. Below lie a paved plaza, signboards and an access road where cars park beneath tall trees.

Xuejian sits on the western edge of a national park in the Xue Mountain Range, at about 1,870 metres in Tai'an Township. It is reached by the Simaxian Forest Road, built during Japanese rule to haul timber. Around the visitor center, some 920 metres of wooden boardwalk form four linked forest loops.

Rather than a summit panorama, this view stays close to the ground, with the deck and a spiral stair in the foreground. Sunlight through the canopy throws shifting patches of shade across the paving during the day.
